Former Durango High player charged in park vandalism

Evan Glusman, 22, of Las Vegas is charged on Thursday with one count of felony destruction of property.

He's accused of driving his truck onto the park, which still was under construction, and spinning "donuts" in the new turf, Reno police said.

Nearly 10,000 square feet of sod was destroyed. It's expected to cost more than $5,000 to repair.

Secret Witness offered a $1,000 reward and received 25 tips that helped lead to the arrest.

Glusman is a sophomore at UNR and sat out his freshman year. He was a standout at Durango High School in Las Vegas, where he averaged 15.6 points a game in his senior year and played in the city All-Star game.
