Gaming legend sued by auto dealer

Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999 | 11:45 a.m.

Fairway Chevrolet sued Las Vegas casino developer Bob Stupak and VMI Thunderbird motel, alleging he failed to pay $9,286 for repairs on a 1979 Chevrolet van.

In a Clark County District Court suit, Fairway, which alleged it received written authorization from Stupak to install a new engine and transmission, said it sold the van at a public auction to pay for the repairs.

Stupak's attorney James Jimmerson could not be reached for comment.

Stupak owned the Thunderbird motel, but is accused in a separate suit of selling it.
