Wynn, Greenspun Gale will be honored

The Las Vegas Springs Preserve Project will honor board members Elaine Wynn and Janie Greenspun Gale 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Tiffany & Co. shop at the Bellagio.

The women will be honored for their efforts to support the project, which is dedicated to preserving Las Vegas Springs, considered the birthplace of Las Vegas.

Wynn and Gale will receive sterling silver magnolia vases from Tiffany & Co., the first corporate sponsor of the project, at the invitation-only reception. Call 737-3100.

Forum planned on use of Internet

An interactive forum designed to help Nevada seniors benefit from using the Internet will be held 9:30-11 a.m. Dec. 14 at the Howard Cannon Senior Center, 340 N. 11th St.

The forum will showcase Project NEON, a federally funded initiative sponsored by the Nevada Division of Aging Services and Nevada Bell that has wired 20 Nevada seniors with computer workstations and Internet connections.

Other issues to be discussed include Internet fraud, medicare.gov and ways seniors can gain computer skills and jobs.

Management sessions to be held for holidays

Henderson-based Stress Management Center of Nevada has announced new yoga mini-sessions focusing on deep stress release to help residents cope with holiday stress today through Dec. 21.

The Henderson Chamber of Commerce
