Boy’s family sues after wildcat attack

Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999 | 10:55 a.m.

A District Court lawsuit has been filed on behalf of a boy who was attacked by wildcat during a photo session at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum in March 1998.

The lawsuit also was filed Monday against Jungle Friends on behalf of the boy's family, who witnessed the incident.

Jungle Friends was sponsoring what was billed as "Big Photo Safari" that let people have their pictures taken with a wildcat held inside a portable cage.

The lawsuit claims that Jungle Friends failed to exercise reasonable care by ensuring the cat couldn't reach anyone.
