Kids can drive to their surgeries
To help reduce anxiety in children who are about to undergo surgery, Sunrise Children's Hospital has provided two mini-cars that children can drive down the hallway from the pre-op area to the operating room.
Child-life specialists at the hospital evaluated patients and found that separating from their parents to go into the operating room was sometimes more traumatic for the children than the actual surgery.
Children have an option of driving either a red or pink car. Smaller cars that can be pushed are available for infants who are too small to drive.

The Las Vegas Doll Festival will be held Saturday at the World Trade Center, 901 E. Desert Inn Road.
