Letter: Bradley sounds like a Republican when talking health care

What is most disconcerting about Bradley's plan is the question it brings up of what will be the next thing he wants to eliminate -- Social Security? Medicare? (Medicaid pays nursing home bills for impoverished seniors and if you are not impoverished before you go in one you soon will be). I would say to Mr. Bradley that these are all Republican ideas and just what party are you running in?
Either Mr. Bradley overlooked the effect eliminating Medicaid would have on seniors (it also pays Medicare premiums for poor seniors) or he just doesn't care. At any rate it shows a disdainful attitude on his part toward the elderly, especially the lower income ones. It is obvious he is trying to get yuppie and Republican support for his plan (and his campaign) by injecting more insurance involvement in health care. As if the experience with HMOs was not enough! Not even Bush has proposed this cold-hearted type plan as far as I know. Bill Bradley definitely will not get my primary vote!
I was lukewarm toward Hillary's plan because of its involvement of insurance companies, also!
