WASHINGTON -- Senate hopeful John Ensign is expected in the nation's capital today for a "Senate Victory 2000 Luncheon," a political event organized by the Republican National Jewish Coalition.
The group was holding a political forum for GOP presidential candidates to address a Jewish audience and answer questions.
Gov. George W. Bush, Steve Forbes and Sen. John McCain were among those expected to address the group at the Washington Hilton at various times today.
Ensign, Sen. Spence Abraham, R-Mich., Sen. John Ashcroft, R-Mo., and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani were expected at the group's luncheon.
Ensign, a former congressman, is running for the Nevada Senate seat being vacated by Richard Bryan, D-Nev., who is retiring from the Senate.
