Wildfires in six Western states destroy homes, force thousands to flee

The blazes in Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Washington and California have torched more than 200-thousand acres.
The largest blaze in the West is the Willow fire in the San Bernardino National Forest between Lake Arrowhead and Apple Valley, where homes have been destroyed. It has reached almost 50-thousand acres.
In the Angeles National Forest, a 25-hundred acre wildfire has damaged three cabins and threatens others.
A 36-hundred acre blaze west of Palmdale in the Mojave Desert was fully contained last night.
In Northern California, firefighters are dousing blazes in Shasta, Trinity and Butte counties. Fires in the Shasta-Trinity, Modoc and Plumas national forests have burned more than 47-thousand acres.
