Ralph John Bigelow
Ralph John Bigelow, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 30, 1923, in Bisbee, Ariz. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, a World War II fighter pilot who flew P47s and P51s in the South Pacific, received his bachelor of science degree from Brigham Young University and his master of business administration at Colorado University at Boulder.
He is survived by his wife, Tamara; two daughters, Brenda Bigelow of Aspen, Colo., and Diane Bigelow of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Larry Bigelow of Columbus and Don Bigelow of Salt Lake City; two brothers, Harold Bigelow of Hollydale, Calif., and Wilford Bigelow of Douglas, Ariz.; four sisters, Thora Clayton of San Diego, Trudy Cluff of Payson, Utah, Hazel Stockwell of Kingman, Ariz., and Myrtle Ashcroft of Eureka, Calif.; and 16 grandchildren.
Services will be 6-8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will be in Utah.
Herman Malkin
Herman Malkin, 86, of Henderson died Friday in Henderson. He was born May 14, 1913, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 19 years, he was a structural engineer and loved art and music.
He is survived by his wife, Rita; one brother, Leon Malkin of Silver Springs, Md.; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial congregation will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Congregation Ner Tamid. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Congregation Ner Tamid choir fund, 2761 Emerson Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Ruth Irene Marschalk
Ruth Irene Marschalk, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born May 27, 1916, in Lebanon, Pa. A resident for 30 years, She was a homemaker and had graduated from Temple University in Philadelphia as a registered nurse.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Raymond J. Sr.; two daughters, Linda Marschalk and Virginia Askren, both of Las Vegas; one son, Raymond J. Marschalk Jr. of Zionsville, Tenn.; one sister, Mary Wolfe of Lebanon; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be noon until 2 p.m. services Tuesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.
Genevieve B. Oswald
Genevieve B. Oswald, 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 25, 1924, in Soda Springs, Idaho. A resident for 39 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth; three sons, Brent Oswald of New Harmony, Utah, and Gary Oswald and Dale Oswald, both of Las Vegas; three daughters, Kaye Briggs of Greer, S.C., Ilene Sorenson of Las Vegas and Rosemary Osborne of Vernal, Utah; three brothers, Harold Balls and Merrill Balls, both of Soda Springs, and K. Gerald Balls of Normal, Ill.; three sisters, Florence Wilde and Margaret Sargent, both of Coalville, Utah, and Lucille Bagley of Soda Springs; and 29 grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7-8 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to 10 a.m. services Wednesday in the LDS Pioneer Ward, 3300 Buffalo Ave.
Pablo Ramos
Pablo Ramos, 53, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born in 1946 in Mexico. A resident for more than 30 years, he was a laundry worker at a local dry cleaning establishment.
He is survived by two sisters, Madalena Ramos and Guadalupe Ramos, both of Mexico; three brothers, Florentino Ramos of Las Vegas and Jesus Ramos and Angel Ramos, both of Mexico; and one niece, Marilu Ramos of Las Vegas.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
