Ronald Brody
Ronald Brody, 67, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born July 17, 1932, in Philadelphia. A longtime resident, he was a salesman and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his brother, Nathan Brody of Philadelphia.
No services are scheduled. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Sonja L. Chapman
Sonja L. Chapman, 38, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 18, 1961, in Grants Pass, Ore. A resident for 36 years, she was a hairdresser.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; two sons, Ronald Rodriguez and Carl Chapman, and two daughters, Brandy Chapman and Marla Chapman, all of Las Vegas; her mother and stepfather, Sharon and Oscar Moll of Carson City; one brother, Clay Nealy, and her father-in-law, James Chapman, both of Las Vegas; and her grandmother, Marion Lindemann of Grants Pass.
Visitation will be 1-4 p.m. Thursday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Albert K. Chinn
Albert K. Chinn, 60, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 20, 1939, in Pennsylvania. A resident for 20 years, he was a security officer for Binion's Horseshoe for 14 years and an Army and Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen M.; one brother, Raymond Chinn of Oregon; and one sister, Eileen Strickland of Ohio.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
James R. Denning
James R. Denning, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Raleigh, N.C. A resident for one year, he was an electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen; two sons, James R. Denning II of Colorado and Michael Denning of Texas; and three daughters, Linda Noell and Heather Gerba, both of Arizona, and Jennifer Mettler of Las Vegas.
No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Elva Graham
Elva Graham, 86, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 28, 1913, in New Liskeard, Ontario. A resident for 36 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Graham and J. Douglas Graham, both of Canada; two daughters, Patricia Figelski of Henderson and Phyllis Knoche of Pahrump; 11 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be in Ontario.
Kenneth Bert Horne
Kenneth Bert Horne, 55, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 1, 1944, in Oakland, Calif. A resident for 25 years, he was an operations analyst researcher for the Air Force, vice president of Nevada Chess Inc., enjoyed folk dancing, square dancing and snow skiing.
A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Lions Burn Center, University Medical Center, 1800 W. Charleston Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89102.
Peter D. Knight
Peter D. Knight, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 31, 1934, in West Allis, Wis. A resident for four years, he was a retired supervisor for the Department of Motor Vehicles, a retired employee of Arizona Charlie's and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; two daughters, Marie Cunningham of Las Vegas and Jennifer Smukowski of Milwaukee; two sons, James Knight of Milwaukee and Peter C. Knight of Beloit, Wis.; one sister, Liewella Wangerin of Fifefield, Wis.; and four grandchildren.
Services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Guardian Angel Cathedral, 336 Cathedral Way, followed by graveside services in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Stanley Ronald Markowski
Stanley Ronald Markowski, 67, of Henderson died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 28, 1932, in Ohio. A resident for 13 years, he was a traffic engineer and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; one son, Jon Markowski of Henderson; and two sisters, Joanne Morz and Caroline Egt, both of Ohio.

Selvia Louis Morgan Jr.
Selvia Louis Morgan Jr., 47, of Los Angeles died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born July 28, 1952, in Arkansas. A part-time Las Vegas resident, he was a roofer.

Janet A. Morsch
Janet A. Morsch, 59, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Nov. 17, 1939, in New Rochelle, N.Y. A resident for three years, she was a retired real estate broker.
She is survived her husband, Leonard D.; three daughters, Kimberly A. Bolletino and Stacey L. Morsch, both of Henderson, and Linda J. Owens of Miami; her parents, Theresa M. and James M. Farino, and two brothers, Michael L. Farino and James Farino, all of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. services today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Trinity Life Center, 1000 E. St. Louis Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Patrick O'Hearn Jr.
Patrick O'Hearn Jr., 52, of Laughlin died Wednesday in Laughlin. He was born March 5, 1947, in Oregon. A resident for many years, he was an antique dealer.
He is survived by one daughter, Dawn Thatch of Aloha, Ore.

Robert Keith Schleichardt
Robert Keith Schleichardt, 72, of Caliente died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 25, 1927, in Illinois. A longtime resident, he was a Navy lieutenant and a Korean and Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; and one son, Keith Schleichardt of Las Vegas.

Wanda Jean Shideler
Wanda Jean Shideler, 70, of Laughlin died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 11, 1928, in Sioux Falls, S.D. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Ray; and two sons, Dennis Shideler of Pomona, Calif., and Glenn Shideler of Ontario, Calif.

Bill Digman 'Swanee' Sorensen
Bill Digman "Swanee" Sorensen, 89, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 13, 1909, in Strathmore, Alberta. A Las Vegas and Boulder City resident on and off for many years, he was a construction worker on Hoover Dam along with many other construction projects, a retired member of Operating Engineers Local 3 of San Francisco, Associated General Contractors of California and the Oakland-Yerba Buena Lodge of the Masons, a member of the "31ers" of Boulder City and Seniors in Retirement Service in Oakland, Calif.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dee; two sons, Lloyd of Solvang, Calif., and Ted of Auburn, Calif.; one daughter, Tina Morgan of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be Oct. 16 on Lake Mead. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Evelyn L. Smith
Evelyn L. Smith, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local care center. She was born Feb. 13, 1919, in Kansas. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker and a member of the Eagles.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet Nagel of Las Vegas and Delores Watson of Long Beach, Calif.; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Mary V. Strachan
Mary V. Strachan, 69, of Boulder City died Sunday in Boulder City. She was born Nov. 27, 1929, in Westbrook, Maine. A resident for 46 years, she was a retired hospital registered nurse, involved in the American Red Cross, American Cancer Society and Lend a Hand programs.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary Catherine Strachan of Boulder City; three sons, Calvin Bryant Strachan of Wilmington, Del., John Frederick Stachan of Sturgis, S.D., and William Edward Strachan of Boulder City; one sister, Ann Butrick of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one brother, Fred Verrill of Rockland, Maine; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 6 p.m. today in St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 1399 San Felipe Drive, Boulder City. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Andrew's. Burial will follow in Boulder City Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Chester L. Thomas
Chester L. Thomas, 68, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 14, 1931, in Vernal, Utah. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired inspector for the Department of Energy and a Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by one daughter, Sarah Thomas, and two sons, Cedric Thomas and Sean Thomas, all of Las Vegas; two sisters, Marguerite Kidd of Ogden, Utah, and Helen Pearson of Modena, Utah; one brother, Dan Thomas of San Jose, Calif.; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be noon Friday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Martin Wishnoff
Martin Wishnoff, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born May 10, 1921, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired sales consultant, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; three sons, Robert Wishnoff of Albany, N.Y., and Joel Wishnoff and Gene Wishnoff, both of Berkeley, Calif.; one sister, Madeline Weinstock of Queens, N.Y.; and five grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
