Thomas David Baker
Thomas Baker, 86, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. A resident for six months, he was born Jan. 1, 1913, in Atlanta. He was record company presser.
He is survived by a sister, Ina Van Duzen of Las Vegas.
No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Connecticut. Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Ernice Brown-Morgan
Ernice Brown-Morgan, 48, of Las Vegas died Aug. 18 in Las Vegas. She was born March 18, 1951, in Virginia. A resident for six months, she was a certified nurse's aide.
She is survived by her husband, Jeff; one son, Rick Brown of Carrollton, Va. one daughter, Dionne Velasquez of Texas; her mother, Bessie Brown of Smithfield, Va.; and five grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Aline G. Fields
Aline G. Fields, 91, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 16, 1907, in Little Rock, Ark. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Carol Dunaway of Long Beach, Calif., and Phyllis Wallace of Las Vegas; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.
Benedict Gossack
Benedict Gossack, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 18, 1927, in Great Falls, Mont. A resident for five years, he was a supervisor for a construction company and a Navy veteran.
He is survived his wife, Twyla M.; two daughters, Karen M. Gossack of San Jose, Calif., and Ronda Kaye Marinelli of Santa Cruz, Calif.; two sons, Geryl D. Gossack of Grants Pass, Ore., and Bruce B. Gossack of Stockton, Calif.; one sister, Alice Strouf of Coffee Creek, Mont.; three brothers, Stanley Gossack of Great Falls, Vincent Gossack of Lewistown, Mont., and Edward Gossack of Salem, Ore.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Gunar R. 'Jim' Grinfelds
Gunar R. 'Jim' Grinfelds, 51, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan 6, 1948, in Austria. A resident for 34 years, he was a Ford Motor Company mechanic for more than 20 years, a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran who received the Purple Heart, a member of the German American Social Club of Nevada and a 1967 Las Vegas High School graduate.
He is survived by his parents, Lilija and Romans Grinfelds of North Las Vegas; two brothers; one sister; and four nephews.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
William B. Johnson
William B. Johnson, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1914, in New York City. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired bench mechanic in the aerospace industry and World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Stella K.; one son, Thomas Johnson of Las Vegas; one brother, David Johnson of Harrisburg, Pa.; two sisters, Lydia Candel and Nancy Spadola, both of New York; and one grandchild.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Kathryn M. Mrazik
Kathryn M. Mrazik, 82, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. She was born April 15, 1917, in New Haven, Conn. A resident for 29 years, she was a retired Holiday Inn hotel-casino executive housekeeper, employed there for more than 25 years, and was a member of the women's branch of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
She is survived by her husband, James S. Mrazik Sr.; one daughter, Kathryne M. Oler of Fort Mohave, Ariz.; one son, James S. Mrazik Jr. of North Las Vegas; one brother, Edwin Mursko of West Haven, Conn.; one sister, Evelyn Lee of North Haven, Conn.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Keith Michael Murphy
Keith Michael Murphy, 38, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 31, 1961, in San Francisco. A resident for seven years, he was a change carrier.
He is survived by one brother, Mark Murphy of Escalon, Calif.; and two sisters, Diane Williams of Manteca, Calif., and Sandra Collins of Escalon.

Mary Ann Oliver
Mary Ann Oliver, 68, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 1, 1930, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 6 1/2 years, she was a retired legal secretary.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; one daughter, Sandy Macias of Santa Barbara, Calif.; one son, John Oliver of Simi Valley, Calif.; her mother, Josephine Lombardo of Murrieta, Calif.; two sisters, Sally Demchak of San Diego and Pat Miner of Temecula, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be one hour prior to 1 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Foster Ward Polley
Foster Ward Polley, 83, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 11, 1916, in Harlem, Mont. A resident for 54 years, he was a retired electrical contractor and World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Reva B.; three daughters, Susan Redford of Irvine, Calif., Jennifer Thompson of Orem, Utah, and Mary Walton of Delta, British Columbia; one son, James Bunker Polley of Las Vegas; 23 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Charleston Ward LDS Church. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.
Karina Ramos
Karina Ramos, 2 months, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 19, 1999, in Las Vegas.
She is survived by her parents, Krainin and Estela Ramos of Las Vegas.
Services were scheduled at 11:30 a.m. today in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Theodore Shelver Jr.
Theodore Shelver Jr., 51, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born Feb. 8, 1948, in Denver, Colo. A resident for 17 years, he was a furniture refinisher and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his father, Theodore Edward Shelver Sr. of Washington state; his mother, Louise May Shelver of Colorado; and three sisters, Coleen Kyle of California, Judith Higgins of Georgia and Roberta Arales of California.
Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial followed in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Golda L. Strong
Golda L. Strong, 92, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 22, 1907, in Walters, Okla. A resident for 4 1/2 years, she was a bank teller.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna Jensen of Salt Lake City; one son, Jerry Strong of Las Vegas; one sister, Moyne Deaton of Denver; eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
Ollie May Ward
Ollie May Ward, 90, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born May 21, 1909, in Kentucky.
She is survived by two daughters, Beulah Bloomfield of Las Vegas and Marilyn Wubold of Hamersville, Ohio.

William Young
William Young, 73, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 27, 1926, in St. Louis. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired truck driver and a World War II Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon R.; three sons, Michael Herring, Patrick Herring and David Herring, all of San Bernardino, Calif.; one stepson, Raymond Wisham of Murrieta, Calif.; three stepdaughters, Traci Vincent of Murrieta, Shari Wisham of Las Vegas and Paula Wisham of San Bernardino; and 17 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
