Results of the first game of the semifinal round of the World Chess Championship played Sunday. Includes players' last names, seed numbers and nationalities. 1-0 is a white win, 1/2-1/2 is a draw and 0-1 is a win for black. The player of the white pieces moves first:
Adams (5, England)-Akopian (31, Armenia) 0-1.
Khalifman (36, Russia)-Nisipeanu (46, Romania) 1/2-1/2.
