Sally Auvil

Sally Auvil, 56, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 12, 1942, in Stuart, Iowa. A resident for 1-1/2 years, she was a retired accountant for a gasket manufacturer.

She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Denham of Las Vegas and Lisa Flowers of Anchorage, Alaska; one son, Bryan Denham of Las Vegas; two sisters, Kathryn Whittaker of North Las Vegas and Sheila Kramer of Hemet, Calif.; one brother, Steve May of North Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday at Nellis Chapel. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Lung Association, 3375 Glen Ave., No. 7, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

Josephine G. Dudan

Josephine G. Dudan, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. She was born Oct. 26, 1926, in Nutley, N.J. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired registered nurse, a member of Westside Newcomers Club and supported numerous local charities.

She is survived by one son, Paul Dudan of Washington, N.J.; two daughters, Michele Taylor of Las Vegas and Nancy Keefe of Chester, N.Y.; one sister, Lena of Chester; two brothers, William and Sal; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Jimmy Dave Harless

Jimmy Dave Harless, 42, of North Las Vegas died July 11 in North Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 4, 1956.

Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Tuesday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Richard M. Hauglin

Richard M. Hauglin, 65, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born July 21, 1934, in Sioux Falls, S.D. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired Air Force master sergeant and Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Cathleen Hauglin of Las Vegas and Christine Gleason of Piedmont, S.C.; three sons, Daniel Hauglin, Richard J. Hauglin and Robert Hauglin, all of Las Vegas; and three sisters, Bernice Staflin of Des Plaines, Ill., Donna Van Whye of Dell Rapids, S.D., and Joyce Rooker of Minneapolis.

Visitation will be 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Katie B. Johnson

Katie B. Johnson, 63, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 1, 1936, in Chambers County, Ala. A resident for 16 years, she was a Super 8 housekeeping supervisor for six years.

She is survived by three daughters, Anita Richardson and Debra D. Grogan, both of Atlanta, and Cherolynn J. Weaver of College Park, Ga.; one son, George R. Johnson of Atlanta; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Robyn R. Kirchefer

Robyn R. Kirchefer, 38, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born May 7, 1961, in Minneapolis. A resident for 24 years, she was a medical biller.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; one son, Jason Kirchefer, one daughter, Chantal Kirchefer, and her mother, Shirley Aragon, all of North Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Umberto Lepore

Umberto Lepore, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 26, 1930, in Italy. A resident for two years, he was a retired contractor for a tile and concrete business.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; three sons, Sammy Lepore of Las Vegas, Gino Lepore of Bakersfield, Calif., and Sergio Lepore of Tempe, Ariz.; one daughter, Donna Taranto of Fountain Hill, Ariz.; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until a 6 p.m. vigil Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive.

Peter E. Riley

Peter E. Riley, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 9, 1929, in Chicago. A resident for 23 years, he was a city of Chicago architect and a civil service architect from 1967-95, a Korean War Marine Corps veteran from 1950-53 who served in the 1st Infantry Division and a member of the Marine Memorial Club in San Francisco.

He is survived by five sons, Michael E. Riley of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Sean P. Riley of Santa Monica, Calif., Peter C. Riley of Makanda, Ill., Patrick B. Riley of Las Vegas and James D. Riley of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one daughter, Anne R. Roberts of Denver; and his former wife, Patrice Riley of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

William E. Thornton

William E. Thornton, 52, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Tecopa, Calif. He was born Oct. 18, 1946, in Fullerton, Calif. A resident for most of his life, he worked as a dealer, floorman and pit boss at the Sahara Tahoe hotel-casino in Stateline and the Horseshoe, Mint, Hacienda and Rio hotel-casinos in Las Vegas and was an Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Robert Thornton, who was killed in Vietnam in 1967.

He is survived by one son, Scott Thornton of Albuquerque, N.M.; his parents, John and Lois Thornton, and two sisters, Margaret Congdon and Jackie Drake, all of Las Vegas; five brothers, John Thornton of Las Vegas and Wesley Walker, Richard Thornton, James Thornton and Larry Thornton, all of California.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Raul E. Tulli

Raul E. Tulli, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 18, 1932, in Argentina. A resident for 24 years, he was a dealer at the Four Queens hotel-casino.

He is survived by his wife, Nelly; one son, Gabriel Tulli of Las Vegas; one brother, Rafael Tulli, and one sister, Elvira Dacal, both of New Jersey; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Paradise Memorial Gardens. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

James Wadhams

James Wadhams, 78, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. He was born July 16, 1921, in North Branch, Minn. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired mechanical engineer in the aerospace industry and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; and two sons, Greg of Las Vegas and Mark of Bloomington, Minn.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Robert W. Williams

Robert W. Williams, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 19, 1927, in Grand Island, Neb. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired bartender, a World War II Army veteran, a member of the Disabled American Veterans and Elks.

He is survived by one daughter, Scharlene Blood of Las Vegas; one brother, Ronald Williams of Hanna, Wyo.; one sister, Mildred Packard of Cheyenne, Wyo.; and three grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
