Eight local organizations were scheduled today to receive more than $500,000 raised during two valley golf tournaments.
The Las Vegas Founders' Golf Foundation planned to present the checks today during its annual Las Vegas Invitational Champion's Day luncheon at the Desert Inn Golf Club.
The foundation hosts two events yearly to raise the money for local charities: The Las Vegas Senior Classic in May on the Senior PGA Tour and the Las Vegas Invitational in October on the PGA Tour.
