The Las Vegas Chapter of Retired Public Employees has donated $300 to the Sun Camp fund.
For the past four years the chapter has selected five worthwhile charities to receive a total of $1,500, which comes from members' dues.
The local chapter, which has 2,720 members, also makes smaller donations throughout the year to the Camp Fund and other worthwhile causes in memory of deceased members.
The organization actively works on retired public employee issues such as protecting retirement funds.
