Police: Name-calling at root of fatal shooting in Carson City

Carson City Sheriff's investigators are still looking for suspects Jorge E. Torres-Reyes and Usiel Mora in connection with the fatal shooting last Friday.
It is believed the suspects may still be in Carson City and should be considered armed and dangerous, investigators said.
Victims and witnesses described the shooting in investigators reports made public on Thursday.
The shooting killed 20 year-old Clint Jacobo and seriously injured his brother, Luis Jacobo, 21, Luis Fuentes, 17 and Alberto Fuentes, 16.
A female witness, who was familiar with both parties, told investigators there was animosity between the two groups. "(She said) Torres did not like the victims because they were members of a local car club that associ ated with a local gang called the Eastwood Tokers," one investigator's report says.
"She said the other group didn't like Torres because he had failed to make the grade as an Eastwood Toker and was 'jumped out' of the gang."
The night of the shooting, this female witness was walking west on U.S. Highway 50 near the Pinon Plaza with Torres-Reyes and Mora when they saw the Jacobo brothers and the Fuentes brothers approaching, reports said.
"(The witness) says that as they began to pass each other just east of the Pinon Plaza, she felt it was Torres' intention to walk around the other group and not say anything. However, as they passed, Luis, presumably Luis Fuentes, called Torres a (a name) which (the witness) interpreted as meaning 'sissy'," the report said.
"At that time Torres turned and said 'What's up fool' and at the same time drew his gun from his front pocket and began shooting. (The witness) says she saw Clint Jacobo and Luis Fuentes fall immediately and at that same time, Mora pulled his gun from his front pocket and also began shooting."
The victims were not armed, investigators said. They each were struck numerous times and Clint Jacobo died at the scene. Luis Jacobo and Luis Fuentes remained in satisfactory condition Thursday in Washoe Medical Center; Alberto Fuentes was released Monday, a hospital spokesperson said.
