Officers confiscate marijuana plants

Friday, Aug. 13, 1999 | 8:30 a.m.

Paul Donald Maggy, 27, was arrested Tuesday after officers for the South Lake El Dorado Narcotics Enforcement Team served a search warrant and discovered the plants at his home.

SLEDNET officers also arrested Clark Nagelsdorf, 22, who showed up at Maggy's home with 43 grams of marijuana.

"The plants weren't real big in size but, if they were grown to fruition, each plant could produce about a pound of marijuana," said Chris Elliott, the task force commander.

At a pound each, the potential value of the plants could have reached $295,000, Elliott said.
