Letter: Traffic crackdown could fill coffers

Does our city and state want more money for schools, parks, streets, highways, etc.?
Regarding possible additional sources of revenue, have our city and state police crack down on: trailers behind trucks, construction vehicles with no plates or outdated, out-of-state plates.
When stopped they could check to see if there is adequate insurance, if the driver's license is current, and many other potential violations that would bring in money.
There may be more revenue than might first be thought.
