It was a night for approvals for country club communities, health clubs and clubhouses at Thursday's Henderson Planning Commission meeting.
The Anthem Country Club was the recipient of two of the approvals, with the builder, Terravita Home Construction, receiving the go-ahead from planners for a residential planned unit development and sports-court lighting for it.
The Anthem residential development consists of 43 lots on 26.5 acres and will be designed as single-family residences. The site will be located inside the Del Webb Anthem master-planned community and will be east of Country Club Drive.
Also approved were plans for sports-court lighting at 2 Clubside Drive within the Anthem Country Club.
Lake Las Vegas Joint Venture also received approval from the commission for its plans for residential and commercial development consisting of 20 condominium units and a golf course clubhouse.
In addition, Lake Las Vegas Joint Venture received a use permit for parking, the golf course clubhouse, a health club and massage studio, a bar and restaurant, a shop and special-events tent on 4.8 acres.
