IGT making Dick Clark slots

International Game Technology of Reno signed an agreement with dick clark productions inc. to produce three new Dick Clark-themed slot machines.

The first new game, based on "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve," will debut this fall. In 2000, IGT plans to introduce games based around Clark's "American Bandstand" and "Bloopers" television shows.

"The ongoing popularity of (Dick Clark's) core entertainment concepts makes them natural contenders to attract gamers to these new themed slot machines," said Francis La Maina, president of dick clark productions. "(IGT) is investigating different approaches to leveraging the value of these and other entertainment assets."
