TACOMA -- Giving new meaning to the team's slogan, "Take a nine-inning vacation," the Stars managed just three singles in a 10-0 loss to the Tacoma Rainiers (47-60) Thursday night.
Tacoma starter Eric Weaver, who no-hit the Stars for 4 2/3 innings before giving up a bloop single to Aaron Guiel, was making an injury rehab start and picked up his first win of the season in three decisions.
The only bright spot for Las Vegas was Rico Rossy, who banged out two more hits
Game 2 of the series is tonight at 7 p.m. and can be seen on Cox Cable channel 14.
