Two Las Vegas residents have settled a complaint filed by the Nevada State Board of Dental Examiners, which accused the men of practicing dentistry in Nevada without a license.
Jose Zermeno Romo and Victor Estrada admitted to the charges brought by the board, and submitted to a permanent injunction against their business, Azteca Dental Lab, 1006 N. Rancho Drive. The men admitted to practicing dentistry without a license at Azteca on at least two occasions.
As part of the settlement, Romo and Estrada agreed to each pay $2,000 fines to the board. The two men also agreed to jointly pay $2,500 to the board to cover its investigation costs.
As a result of the settlement, the board said it will not pursue criminal charges against the men. However, the settlement warns that each will be charged with a felony if they attempt to practice unlicensed dentistry in Nevada again.
