Letter: Lying Democrats have created a divided nation
Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1999 | 9:36 a.m.
Their rallying cry, "save Social Security," is political chicanery at its worst.
As usual, their whole purpose is to instill fear among the elderly and needy and to cast the Republicans as uncaring and "mean spirited."
President Clinton and company will do anything and say anything to maintain their voter base among the welfare recipients. Scare tactics work every time.
The Social Security trust fund has been used by our government as their private bank account for years.
The money or IOU's in this account are always taken into consideration when, under their creative accounting system, they boast they have balanced the budget and created a budget surplus.
It is one bloody lie after another.
The government's role in the administration of Social Security is as a fiduciary.
It is similar to a banker who acts as fiduciary for another entity or individual and then absconds with the funds with which they were entrusted.
Jail time is the appropriate punishment for this kind of betrayal.
I don't believe the word "trust" has any meaning whatsoever to these bogus vote-panderers.
Thanks to the most politicized White House in history and thanks to the propaganda spewed by the Democrats, this country is in such a state of disunity that I'm wondering if we aren't only going to end up with a deep philosophical division but a physical division as well.
I don't want to end up my time on this Earth wearing a Mao jacket.
