Door Bell - Set pace and caught late when close 3rd on Hollypark lawn in last, in the quinella 3 of 4 starts at this trip with 2 of 4 career victories, hustling bug boy Valdez returns, should be a factor throughout. Value Play -- Faraji
2ND RACE:
Rubiano Lady - Dueled the lead from outside post and weakened to 5th in last, speed and weakened to 4th before that, 3-wide debut 3rd four races back, now takes major drop to claimer, speed from the rail means diploma theft. Chief's Flyer - Stalked pace from outer post, got the lead and second best in last, dueled lead and distant 3rd as the favorite before that, races second-time lasix now, Solis stays on Mettee trainee, will keep top pick company. Value Play -- Polly's Promise
3RD RACE:
Shimmering Bronze - Dueled lead 3-deep and held close runner-up at 7-panels in last, in the quinella 4 of 10 lifetime starts with a pair of victories, stretches out to two-turns here, Desormeaux back on Dollace trainee, Bronze for the gold here. Valley Don -- Showed new dimension with gate-to-wire win mid-June in last, freshened with solid works since raced, draws good post, stretches out again, McCarron takes over for return to races on younger Canini trainee. 4TH RACE:
Rainbow Amethyst - Even run from rail post and split field when 4th in last, pressed pace and game close 2nd before that, late rally for 3rd three races back, McCarron takes over on beaten favorite, give another chance to ammends. Conectis - 3rd sprinting on turf in last, runner-up routing on lawn in 2 of 3 previous starts, in the quinella 9 of 27 lifetime turf starts with a trio of victories, Flores got to know her in last, fits here. 5TH RACE:
Jag G - Even 4th while splitting the field in needed outing in last, runner-up in three prior starts, Solis got to know Frankel trainee in last, needs clean trip from rail post, Jag graduation forthcoming. Jazz Collection - Pressed pace early and held distant 3rd in last, chased and best-of-rest when closer 3rd before that, bug boy Radke seems to get the best from him, Jazz may collect diploma here. Daisy - Outrun routing on lawn in last, drew off to break maiden at this distance before that, pair of solid seaside works since raced, back sprinting on dirt now, reunites with winning rider Ramsammy for this. Queen of Wilshire - Runaway gate-to-wire debut maiden breaker in last, pair of nice Del Mar works since, hustling Espinoza returns on Vienna trainee, should ramble from outside post, repeat within reach. Special Quest - Set pace and held game close 3rd from between horses in Grade II American Handicap on Hollypark lawn in last, in the quinella half of 14 lifetime turf starts with 5 victories, can get the distance, Solis stays. Astarabad - 3rd in restricted grass stakes at Hollypark with best-of-4 U. S. outings in last, in the quinella 8 of 17 lifetime turf starts with 4 victories, French Group I winner may be coming around now, adds blinkers and gets Antley for this. Value Play -- Dancing Place
8TH RACE:
Little Itch - Got the lead from inside post and drew off to win in-hand in last, runner-up in prior pair of outings and won only other start of the year four races back, in the quinella 7 of 10 lifetime starts with 3 of 5 victories at Del Mar, sharp right now. Glen Falls - Stalked pace then outkicked while 2nd in last, in the quinella 7 of 18 starts at this distance with both lifetime victories, last victory followed another runner up effort, could trip out in this nightcap.
