Las Vegas-based National Airlines expanded its cargo and maintenance operations at McCarran International Airport and will open a training center later this month.
Jack Zembeck, director of cargo sales and service for the airline, said the company offers counter-to-counter same-day and next-day service on small packages.
The maintenance facility enables the airline to perform light aircraft and engine repairs to minimize flight delays. Heavy maintenance will continue to be subcontracted, a National spokesman said.
National plans to open a training center on Aug. 15 for flight attendants, pilots, ground operations, customer services and maintenance personnel.
