Britt Marie Belschner, 26, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born June 15, 1972, in Great Falls, Mont. A resident for nine years, she was active in community activities.
She is survived by her parents, Shirley and Gordon J. Murray, one sister, Misty Marie Evenson, one stepsister, Amber Murray, and two stepbrothers, Justin Murray and Sean Murray, all of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2 S. Pecos Road, Henderson. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2 S. Pecos Road, Henderson, NV 89014.
R. Glenn Booth
R. Glenn Booth, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 19, 1921, in Oklahoma. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired hotel musician, a member of Zelzah Shrine Temple, Daylite Masonic Lodge 44 and the Musicians Union.
He is survived by one cousin, Vincent Gagliardi of Las Vegas.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Daylite Masonic Lodge 44. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Zelzah Shrine Temple, 2222 W. Mesquite Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106 or Daylite Lodge 44.
Naomi Cooper
Naomi Cooper, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 17, 1930, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 48 years, she was a retired Dunes hotel-casino guest room attendant.
She is survived by three daughters, Lawanda Burks and Debra McGilbra, both of Las Vegas, and Beverly Birdzell of Long Beach, Calif.; one son, Kenneth Bosley of North Las Vegas; her father, Oliver Lisby of Las Vegas; five sisters, Barbara Guice and Paulette Baldwin, both of Las Vegas, and Shirley Lisby, Riddie Berry and Carolyn Swint, all of Los Angeles; six brothers, Oliver Lisby Jr., Chester Lisby, James Lisby, Robert Lisby, Otis Lisby and Artis Lisby, all of Los Angeles; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Harrison-Ross Mortuaries. Burial will be private.
Josephine Echelini
Josephine Echelini, 71, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 29, 1928, in New York City. A resident for 17 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; two daughters, Jayne Sorensen and Karin Kyes, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Philip Lugris of Mission Viejo, Calif.; and three grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Charles A. Iida
Charles A. Iida, 67, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. He was born May 23, 1931, in Hawaii. A resident for nine years, he was a hotel food and beverage director.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; three daughters, Charlotte Iida of Hawaii, Debra Anderson of Arizona and Wendy Anderson of Idaho; one son, Charles J. Iida, his mother, Isabella Iida, and two sisters, Janice Christian and Marilyn, all of Hawaii; one brother, Harold Iida of Virginia; and five grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
Louise Theresa Lang
Louise Theresa Lang, 87, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospice. She was born Dec. 30, 1911, in Italy. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Lawrence Lang Jr. of Henderson; two daughters, Elizabeth Lang of New York state and Eileen Stadnick of California; two brothers, John Colucci of Florida and Dominick Colucci of New York; two sisters, Mary O'Leary of New York and Ann Lewis of California; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Sunday with a 6 p.m. rosary at Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Services will be noon Monday in Holy Family Catholic Church, 4490 Mountain Vista St.
Greta Lynn Corbin Powell
Greta Lynn Corbin Powell, 53, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 1, 1945, in Binghamton, N.Y. A resident for 44 years, she was an accountant, co-owner of Whitcor Business Services, former member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 357, a member of "I'll Drink To That" Toastmasters from 1977, area governor, division governor and twice served as president of Toastmasters International and was recently invited to join the Las Vegas Social Register.
She is survived by one daughter, Dawn Michelle LaBar of Vacaville, Calif.; one son, Timothy Craig Powell, and two brothers, Gene Goodnough and Theodore Goodnough, all of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Jimmie R. Vance
Jimmie R. Vance, 69, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 25, 1929, in Topeka, Kan. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired casino maintenance engineer and a Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Judy; four daughters; six sons; one sister, Martha Watt of Brea, Calif.; one brother, Gordon Vance of Hawthorne, Calif.; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is private. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119 or the donor's favorite charity.
Charlotte F. Wollins
Charlotte F. Wollins, 93, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born March 14, 1906, in New York City. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Gwen W. Focazio of Las Vegas; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
