William Caughfey

William Caughfey, 65, of Las Vegas died April 1 in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 11, 1934, in Minnesota. A resident for many years, he was a hotel-casino bartender.

He is survived by two daughters, Michelle Caughfey and Daniele Loye, both of Minnesota.

Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling private arrangements.

Maria Luisa S. Constantino

Maria Luisa S. Constantino, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born March 9, 1926, in Masbate, Philippines. A resident for two years, she was a retired state government clerk.

She is survived by one son, Vincent S. Constantino of North Las Vegas; three stepsons, Vicente M. Constantino of San Francisco, Pedy M. Constantino of Los Angeles and Tony M. Constantino of the Philippines; two stepdaughters, Caridad C. Buenaventura of Los Angeles and Carmela M. Constantino of San Francisco; and 20 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to 2 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Layne C. Covington

Layne C. Covington, 48, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 22, 1950, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 45 years, he was an accountant.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; two sons, Andrew L. Covington and Billy K. Covington, both of Henderson; his father, Loren C. Covington of Camarillo, Calif.; one sister, Lorene of Richfield, Utah; and one brother, Dale Covington of Provo, Utah.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. services Saturday in the Ocean Street LDS Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Tommasine M. Daniels

Tommasine M. Daniels, 64, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born May 3, 1934, in Warren, Ark. A resident for 36 years, she was a hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by two daughters, Paulette Jacobs of North Las Vegas and Sandra Matthews of Las Vegas; one son, Dwight Matthews of Las Vegas; her mother, Mary E. Adams, and two brothers, Robert Matthews and Joe D. Matthews, all of Warren; one sister, Marlena Dockey of Los Angeles; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Grace Immanuel Baptist Church, 805 W. Bartlett Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Robert Whitman Fluegge

Robert Whitman Fluegge, 85, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 11, 1914, in Elmhurst, Ill. A resident for five years, he was a retired credit manager for a meat packing plant and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn R.; one daughter, Barbara McDonald of Las Vegas; one son, Robert M. Fluegge of Chicago; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Burial will be private.

The family suggests donations to the American Lung Association, 3375 Glen Ave., No. 7, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

John Earl Gustason

John Earl Gustason, 77, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 6, 1922, in Pomeryo, Iowa. A resident for seven years, he was an administrator in the aerospace industry, a World War II Army Air Corps veteran, a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge and Daylite Lodge 44.

He is survived by his wife, Beth; one son, John M. Gustason of New Castle, Calif.; one daughter, Kaye M. Saxberg of San Jose, Calif.; one sister, Jeanne Chalmers of Redondo Beach, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Verdeen Hagedorn

Verdeen Hagedorn, 58, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 12, 1940, in Primghar, Iowa. A resident for 36 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W.; four sons, Robert W. Hagedorn Jr. of Provo, Utah, and Scott Alan Hagedorn, David Paul Hagedorn and Chad Adam Hagedorn, all of Las Vegas; one daughter, Robin Renee Campbell of Las Vegas; six brothers, Richard Petersen of Esterville, Iowa, Kenneth Petersen of Fremont, Neb., Gordon Petersen of Huxley, Iowa, Virgil Petersen of Marshalltown, Iowa, Bernard Petersen of Sutherland, Iowa, and Wilbur Petersen of Minden, La.; three sisters, Verleen Zevenbergen and Gloria Dolan, both of Las Vegas, and Beverly Petersen of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and 14 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday in the Pecos and Osage LDS Chapel. Burial will follow in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Willard Gilbert Hanson Sr.

Willard Gilbert Hanson Sr., 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local health care center. He was born Dec. 29, 1914, in Stevens Point, Wis. A resident for four years, he was an engineer for Standard Oil Co. of California, a member of the Masons and Shriners, Scottish Rite, York Rite and Shrine Masonic Bodies.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Ruth; one son, Willard Gilbert Hanson Jr. of Las Vegas; two daughters, Beth Smith of Forestville, Calif., and Evangeline Jones of Maui, Hawaii; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service was scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd. Burial will be private. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., handled arrangements.

Eva C. Hedrick

Eva C. Hedrick, 83, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born May 31, 1915, in Union, Ky. A resident for eight years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Preasmeyer of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Miller of East River, Ill.; one sister, Lydia Doyle of Dallas; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Graveside services will be 2:15 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Lawrence T. Kryzneski

Lawrence T. Kryzneski, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 27, 1929, in Nanticoke, Pa. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired book store owner in New York City, a Korean War Army veteran and liked to play pinochle with his buddies.

He is survived by his wife, Olive; two daughters, Janet Morgan and Linda Kryzneski, both of Las Vegas; two sons, Lawrence Kryzneski of Las Vegas and Gary Kryzneski of Phoenix; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Sunday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Goldie Lowman

Goldie Lowman, 87, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., died Saturday in Gravette, Ark. She was born June 2, 1911, in Sulphur Springs. A former Henderson resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Vi Oscar of Salina, Utah, and Vicki Newell of Reno; one son, Bud Lowman of Orem, Utah; one sister, Lilly Guyll of Sulphur Springs; 12 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon until 2 p.m. services Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Jacqueline N. Luckie

Jacqueline N. Luckie, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A resident for two years, she was born Nov. 24, 1925, in the Bronx, N.Y.

She is survived by one daughter, Joanne Endicott of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Beulah Walker and Sylvia Vanlierop, both of New York City.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.

Lucia Martinez

Lucia Martinez, 48, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born July 17, 1950, in Ejido Benito Juarez, Mexico. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Juan; two daughters, Patricia Martinez and Adriana Martinez, and one son, Jesus Anthony Martinez, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Carmen Espinoza, Antonia Rodriguez and Magdalna Sanchez, and five brothers, Reynaldo Rodriguez, Maymundo Rodriguez, Miguelangel Rodriguez, Juan Ramon Rodriguez and Manuel Rodriguez, all of Mexico.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today with a 6:30 p.m. rosary and noon-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

John Earle McKennon Sr.

John Earle McKennon Sr., 82, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born March 30, 1917, in Fort Smith, Ark. A resident for four years, he was a retired hotel executive and a member of the American Hotel & Motel Association.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances; two sons, James H. McKennon of Las Vegas and John E. McKennon Jr. of Baltimore; and five grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Larry Renaee Mingo

Larry Renaee Mingo, 32, of Las Vegas died April 21 in Las Vegas. He was born May 17, 1966, in Nevada and was a construction worker.

He is survived by four children, Larry Mingo, Demarcus Mingo, Briyonna Mingo and Cynthia Mingo; his parents, Ruby and Frank Mingo; three sisters, Zina Mingo, Bridget Mingo and Angela Mingo; and three brothers, Billy Mingo, Frank Mingo and Reggie Mingo.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Christophee Ross Trevaughn

Christophee Ross, 7 1/2 months died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 2, 1998, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother, Tameka S Henry, his father, Richard Ross, his grandparents, Bessie Gatlin, Christine Gray and Rickey D. Henry; and his great-grandparents, Rosie L. Knight and Elbert and Terry Henry.

Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Carver Missionary Baptist Church, 1221 N. J St., followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Gregory M. Sanders

Gregory M. Sanders, 24, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 15, 1975, in Los Angeles. A resident for 10 years, he was a computer programmer in the travel service industry, a 1997 honors graduate of Brandeis University and a 1993 distinguished scholar graduate of Clark High School.

He is survived by his parents, Darlene and Mario J. Sanders, one sister, Melody Sanders, two brothers, Michael Sanders and Alex Sanders, and his grandparents, Ruth and Garry Sanders and Benard Raffail, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. Friday with a 4 p.m. chapel service at Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

John G. Tulane Jr.

John G. Tulane Jr., 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 31, 1923, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired food salesman, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian; five daughters, Jerri Schubert and Beth Giuffri, both of Milwaukee, Patrice Bernauer of Los Gatos, Calif., Gail Clark of Las Vegas and Deb Figie of Divide, Colo.; one sister, May Winter, and two brothers, Les Tulane and William Tulane, all of Ogden; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Garwood Van

Garwood Van, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 1, 1910, in Newark, N.J. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired orchestra leader, a member of the board of directors of the Las Vegas Rotary Club, Las Vegas Country Club and Civilian Military Council member MBC of C, life member of Musicians Union locals 47 and 369, former member of the Las Vegas Variety Club Tent 39, past vice president of the Desert Inn Country Club and past president Merchants Bureau Greater Las Vegas.

He is survived by his wife, Joan; and one son, Gary Van of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Martin 'Jerry' Vavrak

Martin "Jerry" Vavrak, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 13, 1931, in Whiting, Ind. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired dealer and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Carrolee; three daughters, Lesa Stapley of Las Vegas, Leann Carlson of Elko and Steffney Droiste of Crestline, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Jones. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Alice Weaver-White

Alice Weaver-White, 85, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 8, 1913, in Beaumont, Texas. A resident for 50 years, she was a retired Stardust hotel-casino waitress and a member of the Culinary Union.

She is survived by her husband, Roy White; one sister, Angelina Skibo of Vidor, Texas; two brothers, Elmo Gainer of Reno and Henry Gainer of Baytown, Texas.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
