Joseph DeLuca testified he and others plotted to take over the loan-sharking business of his former friend and partner.
DeLuca spent nearly six hours on the stand Wednesday testifying about the January 1997 robbery and slaying of the mob associate.
DeLuca's case stems from a broad federal investigation of organized crime in Southern Nevada that yielded several arrests. Two defendants, Stephen Cino, 62, and Robert Panaro Sr., 57, are on trial this week in U.S. District Judge Philip Pro's court. The two men are accused of authorizing the killing of Blitzstein.
