Deadline nears for Prudential teen program
A training seminar to certify adults as instructors in the Prudential Youth Leadership Institute is being offered June 3-6 at Caesars Palace.
The application deadline is April 30. For an application and more information, call The Points of Light Foundation (503) 235-0814 or e-mail pyli@pointsoflight.org. The seminar fee is $450.
The institute is a nationwide training program designed to prepare teens for future roles as community leaders. Seminar participants will learn how to deliver the institute's curriculum to young people.
Classes will be held at North Las Vegas Library
An Internet class is being offered 6 p.m. May 5 and continuing the first Wednesday of each month at the North Las Vegas Library, 2300 Civic Center Drive.
Skills taught will include how to sign onto the Internet, how to find information there and how to become an expert searcher. Call 633-1070.

The McCaw School of Mineson the campus of Gordon McCaw Elementary School in downtown Henderson is holding an open house at the facility 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at 57 Lynn Lane.
