The NCAA is coming back to town next week to continue its inquiry into the UNLV men's basketball program.
Associate athletic director Jerry Koloskie confirmed he received a phone call Wednesday from the enforcement staff notifying him that it will be in town next week.
No date was specified.
"As far as I know, they aren't coming Tuesday," athletic director Charles Cavagnaro said, commenting on a local television report. "But common sense tells you they're coming sooner than later."
Cavagnaro said he didn't know what was on the NCAA's agenda for this particular visit.
"They haven't sent us formal notification of what they want," he said. "If you're asking me if they've asked to interview any players or coaches, no, I'm not aware of such a request. At least not at this point."
Koloskie said it may be nothing more than asking to look at records and other information.
"Whatever they need, we'll have it ready for them," he said. "Right now, the only thing I know is that they'll be coming here sometime next week."
Dirk Taitt, the NCAA enforcement staff member who is heading up the inquiry with UNLV, could not be reached for comment.
Cavagnaro reiterated that UNLV will continue to cooperate with the NCAA during the probe.
