Letter: Who is U.S. to tell others what to do?
Thursday, April 22, 1999 | 12:06 p.m.
Today, living on the other side of the world, having access to all sorts of media, I am wary of elite Washington spinners trying to tell us what they think we should know.
With the luxury of short-wave radio, the BBC, Deutsche Welle, radio Hilversum, etc., diversity is at our fingertips.
Yet, here in Las Vegas, we are afraid of walking around the block at night.
Living in a land with open borders, I wonder what is it that makes us so morally correct to protect other people's borders and tell other nations how to behave?
