Thursday, April 22, 1999 | 10:51 a.m.

The Clark County Health District approved the sale of a cleaner-burning winter gasoline today. The fuel is expected to reduce air pollution levels by 10 percent.

The gasoline will be available in November and costs between 2 and 4 cents more a gallon.

Gasoline currently sold in the county produces 114 parts per million of sulfur and 35 parts of aromatic hydrocarbons per million parts of gasoline. The new fuel will produce only 40 parts per million per sulfur and 25 parts per million of aromatic hydrocarbons.
