Thursday, April 22, 1999 | 10:45 a.m.
The lawsuit claims the more than $70,000 in room taxes claimed to be owed the city were discharged in the bankruptcy action that was filed in October 1995.
The legal action, filed through attorney Thomas Fell, asks that the city be declared in contempt for "willfully disregarding the bankruptcy court order."
The lawsuit also asks District Judge Gene Porter to declare the city's room tax lien is void.
