Individual entries are now being accepted for next weekend's inaugural John Robinson Celebrity Invitational golf tournament.
Tournament organizers previously were accepting only entries for foursomes, priced at $5,000, but a limited number of individual spots are available in the star-studded field for $1,250 each.
Proceeds from Robinson's first fund-raising tournament will benefit the UNLV football program.
Limited entries for foursomes also still are available for the two-day, 36-hole event, which is scheduled for April 30-May 1 at Del Webb's Anthem in Henderson.
Entrants, who will be teamed with a different celebrity both days, will play 18 holes each in a scramble tournament format.
The school also announced that an impressive list of celebrities -- all of whom make their home in the valley -- is on board for the event. Former Los Angeles Raiders running back Napoleon McCallum, newly elected NFL Hall of Famer Tom Mack and former Notre Dame great George Kunz are the latest celebrities scheduled to appear.
Former Major League Baseball players Marty Barrett and Duane Ward will join stage star Susan Anton and former local TV anchor John Daly, host of the television series "Real TV," in the event.
An assortment of former and current coaching and playing greats already had been announced as being part of the star-studded field. Joining Robinson on the links will be former Oakland Raiders head coach and current broadcaster John Madden, former UCLA head man Terry Donahue and Michigan coaching legend Bo Schembechler.
Also scheduled to play are Washington Redskins head coach Norv Turner as well as two collegiate coaches: R.C. Slocum of Texas A&M and Bruce Snyder of Arizona State.
Other celebrities will include former and current NFL players Marcus Allen, Ronnie Lott, Hugh McElhenny and Keyshawn Johnson. Also scheduled to appear are former UNLV players Keenan McCardell, currently an all-pro receiver with the Jacksonville Jaguars, Ickey Woods and Kenny Mayne, anchor of ESPN's SportsCenter.
The tournament is open to the public to attend.
Call Jim Bolla at 895-1508 for additional information about playing in the tournament.
