Mary R. Adamson, 78, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 23, 1920, in Elizabeth, N.J. A resident for 25 years, she was retired from the Clark County Election Department since 1985.
She is survived by her husband, David; six children, Teresa Rueckert, Regina Heilman, Brian Rueckert and Jim Ryan, all of Las Vegas, Joyce Nellis and Gary Nellis; one sister, Peggy Donovan of Forked River, N.J.; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Suite 140, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
Deborah Alois
Deborah Alois, 40, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 31, 1958, in Schenectady, N.Y. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Hermance; one daughter, Heather, and one son, John, both of Schenectady; one sister, Cheryl Lioce of Las Vegas; one brother, Robert Alois of Albany, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ralph S. Brooks
Ralph S. Brooks, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 31, 1918, in Coffeyville, Kan. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired quality control engineer in the aerospace industry and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Marie; three daughters, Linda Dean, Carol Lynch and Ann Benning, all of California; four sons, Mark Brooks of Las Vegas, R.W. Brooks of Denver, Richard Byrne of St. Louis and T.R. Byrne of Collinsville, Okla.; two sisters, Wauhillau Henry of Coffeyville and Cleo of Markshook, Pa.; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
Hedy Jo Bucinskas
Hedy Jo Bucinskas, 79, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 10, 1920, in Oklahoma City. A resident for 23 years, she was a costume designer for Las Vegas shows.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph; three sisters, Bettey Richmond, Neoma Shamblin and Movita Johnson, and two brothers, Bill Hammonds and Leonard Hammonds, all of Oklahoma City; one niece, Ramona Barrett, and one nephew, Ronald Shamblin, both of Las Vegas; and 11 other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in Calvary Chapel. A private burial will follow. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Bruce Cooksey
Bruce Cooksey, 46, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 6, 1953, in Fordyce, Ark. A resident for 39 years, he was a cook.
He is survived by three sisters, Ora D. Roby and Gertie Perry, both of North Las Vegas, and Brenda Cooksey of Las Vegas.
Services were scheduled at noon today in the Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave., followed by burial in Eden Vale Memorial Park. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.
Mariam E. Curtis
Mariam E. Curtis, 93, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 17, 1906, in Kansas. A resident for 4 1/2 years, she was a librarian.
She is survived by one son, Otis W. La Prade; and three grandchildren.

David L. Gorz
David L. Gorz, 44, of Las Vegas died April 7 in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 11, 1954, in Illinois. A resident for seven years, he owned Tattoo-R-Us and Sin City Tattoo.
He is survived by one son, Sean Gorz; his mother, Margaret Gorz; and one brother, Carl Gorz.
Visitation is scheduled noon until 2:30 p.m. services Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
Federico Hermosillo
Federico Hermosillo, 90, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 11, 1908, in San Isidro, Mexico. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired casino porter.
He is survived by three sons, Flavio Hermosillo and Federico Hermosillo, both of Las Vegas, and Victor Hermosillo of Mexico; one sister, Carmen Hermosillo of Mexico; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Joseph Max Nerl
Joseph Max Nerl, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Newark, N.J. A resident for 30 years, he was a retired commercial mechanic and a World War II Navy veteran who served in the Mediterranean Theater.
He is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Huneke of Lakeside, Calif., and Judith Renna of Asbury Park, N.J.; one brother, Frank Nerl of Cranford, N.J.; three sisters, Marie Drummond of Holiday, Fla., Josephine Young of Gainesville, Fla., and Frances Reed of Los Angeles; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.
David Gray Newhouse
David Gray Newhouse, 59, of Las Vegas died April 7 in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 24, 1939, in Westmoreland, Pa. A resident for 14 years, he was a self-employed plumber and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his companion, Laura Carnes, and one daughter, Lisa Marie Newhouse, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Paul A. Newhouse and William A. Newhouse; two sisters, Ethel Kubizna and Betty J. Monteparte; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Louis Joseph Nickele
Louis Joseph Nickele, 73, of Las Vegas died March 31 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 31, 1925, in Chicago. A resident for 11 years, he was a plumber.
He is surved by his wife, Grace; one son, Mark Louis Nickele of Chicago; three daughters, Audrey Pentics of Henderson and Margaret DeBock and Theresa Nickele, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Robert Nickele and Richard Nickele, both of Chicago.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in the Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer, 55 E. Reno Ave. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Louis Paez
Louis Paez, 83, of Henderson died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 3, 1916, in Las Vegas, N.M. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired civil service carpenter, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He is survived by one daughter, Mae Terry of Sacramento; three sons, Silberio Paez of Albuquerque, N.M., Abel Paez and Louis Paez Jr., both of Henderson; three brothers, Max Paez, John Paez and Arturo Paez, all of Henderson; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Church of Christ, 104 W. Victory Road, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Charles George Shepherd
Charles George Shepherd, 61, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. He was born July 23, 1938, in Canada. A resident for eight years, he was a security guard.
He is survived by one son, Charles Shepherd; two daughters, Kathleen Shepherd Henderson and Melissa Demery; and six grandchildren.

Robert R. Struble
Robert R. Struble, 53, of Henderson died Friday in a local hospice. He was born Feb. 27, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio. A resident for 10 years, he was a construction company project manager and a Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his parents, Robert F. and Ellen M. Struble of Henderson; one son, Eric Struble, and one sister, Diane Zimmerman, both of California; and one brother, David Struble of Henderson.
Graveside services were scheduled at 1:30 p.m. today in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.
Winnie Mae Whitmore
Winnie Mae Whitmore, 76, of Las Vegas died April 13 in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 19, 1922, in Crossett, Ark. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by three sons, Alonzo Langstaff, Larry Federon and Floyd Whitmore, and one daughter, Verida Glenn, all of Las Vegas; three stepsons, Medward and McKerry, both of Las Vegas, and Melvin Wimberly of Los Angeles; four stepdaughters, Camelia Moreland of Las Vegas, Larita Wimberly of Barstow, Calif., and Cheryl Wimberly and Maritha Floyd, both of Los Angeles; one sister, Dorothy Williams of Las Vegas; 50 grandchildren and 50 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 1189 Hassel Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
James Thomas Wilkinson
James Thomas Wilkinson, 71, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born May 24, 1927, in Framingham, Mass. A resident for 10 years, he worked for the Jim Marsh auto dealership, was a retired from the Army after 23 1/2 years and was a Vietnam War and Korean War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy A.; three sons, Douglas J. Wilkinson of Iowa Park, Texas, Scott J. Wilkinson of Shewsbury, Mass., and Ross A. Wilkinson of San Antonio; one daughter, Lisa D. Kelly of San Antonio; two sisters, Eileen Abbott of San Antonio and Mary Wilson of Phoenix City, Ala.; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Wednesday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.
