LAKE MEAD: Striped bass fishing has improved during the past week and should get even better with the arrival of warm weather, according to the Nevada Division of Wildlife.
Boaters who braved storm-driven winds found fair action for stripers over the weekend. The A and C buoys in Las Vegas Bay, the tires at Las Vegas Bay Marina, the rock slide near Hoover Dam and Rogers Bay in the Overton Arm have been producing stripers.
Shore fishing has been slower, but a few fish have been caught with bait at the Pyramid Island causeway.
Anglers are reporting that crayfish are being found in the stomachs of stripers, indicating good fishing in areas where the lake bottom is rocky.
