Joseph A. Bernas Jr., 75, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 15, 1923, in Chicago. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired musician who played with the Champs, the group that recorded "Tequila."
He is survived by two daughters, Joella Catherine Bernas and Deborah K. Runnels, both of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
William E. Coffin Sr.
William E. Coffin Sr., 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 26, 1920, in Los Angeles. A resident for eight years, he was a retired aerospace engineer and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia; two daughters, Christine Federico of Newhall, Calif., and Cynthia Pettis of Prunedale, Calif.; one son, William E. Coffin Jr. of Northridge, Calif.; one brother, Eugen Coffin of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Rose Mary Geuder
Rose Mary Geuder, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 12, 1933, in Armenia, Wis. A resident for 20 years, she was an apartment manager.
She is survived by one sister, Anna Mae Hardison of Henderson; and two brothers, John Kowalewski of Elmhurst, Ill., and Frank Kowalewski of Addison, Ill.
Visitation is scheduled 3 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Tuesday along with another service at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
George R. Hansen
George R. Hansen, 78, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 3, 1921, in Havre, Mont. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired optician, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Masons and Scottish Rite Bodies.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one nephew, Bill Oliver of Redmond, Wash.; and one niece, Sharon Elf of Hawaii.
Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., handled private arrangements.
Raymond Isom
Raymond Isom, 53, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 2, 1945, in Provo, Utah. A resident for 51 years, he was a leader in the Boy Scouts.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie; four daughters, Jennifer Thomassian of Beatty and Melanie Isom, Heather Isom and Michelle Isom, all of Las Vegas; three sons, Jeremy Raymond Isom, Joshua Robert Isom and Aaron Jonathon Isom, and two sisters, Glenna Lyn Stuart and Joan Schilling, all of Las Vegas; three brothers, Barry Craig Isom of Panaca and Blair Abbott Isom and James Andrew Isom, both of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-8 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Desert View Ward at Warm Springs Road and Arville Street.
Etta Robson
Etta Robson, 88, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 6, 1911, in Wana, W.Va. A resident for 30 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Romaine Cripe of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Wednesday in the Wildwood LDS Ward. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the LDS Genealogical Library.
George Stassi Jr.
George Stassi Jr., 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born May 9, 1935, in Los Angeles. A resident for 10 years, he was a pit boss, worked with Americor Realty and was a radio talk show host on "Come Out Fighting with Sonny Gambina."
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hammersky of Las Vegas; and one sister, Marion McCallister of Los Angeles.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Shrine of the Most Holy Redeemer, 55 E. Reno Ave., Las Vegas.
Mary B. Walsh
Mary B. Walsh, 81, of Sandy Valley died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 15, 1917, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 15 years, she retired after many years as a riveter for Republic Aviation and McDonnel Douglas.
She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Herbert of Hot Springs, S.D., and Pattie Seaman of Las Vegas; two sons, Frank Walsh of Livermore, Calif., and Donald Walsh of Sandy Valley; two sisters, Lillian Broderick of Fort Myers, Fla., and Peggy Driscoll of Lauderhill, Fla.; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
