Letter: Thunder tix too pricey
Friday, April 9, 1999 | 10:06 a.m.
It's not the promotional or on-ice mistakes noted in Ron Kantowski's April 8 column that have kept me from going to Las Vegas Thunder games, it's the ridiculously high cost to see the team play. The first and only time I went to a Thunder game I paid $16 for a seat. That's just too expensive for a minor-league hockey game. Concession prices, too, were at NHL levels. You can't charge major-league prices for a minor-league team and expect people to show up.
The Stars, on the other hand, do it right. At $5-8 a seat, Stars games are the bargain Thunder games should be.
