Letter: Pedestrians need a political voice
Friday, April 9, 1999 | 12:06 p.m.
Then it was said that the pedestrian wasn't in a crosswalk.
For some that means when you're not in a crosswalk you're fair game like a cat or dog -- but that is not so.
Most of the drivers are considerate but there are a few -- I call them cyclone drivers -- who have only one idea: "Hurry for me and the hell with you."
I want to know when is a pedestrian going to get the rights given by a crosswalk?
Someday in the near future I hope someone will stand up for us pedestrians.
