County commission approves civilian review board to monitor police
Wednesday, April 7, 1999 | 9:50 a.m.
A board of 25 people will be divided into five different panels that will look into alleged misconduct by Metro Police officers.
The commission decided not to allow any former officers or their families to serve on the board. Former officers from other cities can apply to be on the board.
The board could begin hearing cases as early as this summer if the Las Vegas City Council also approves the creation of the board.
