Letter: Smut peddlers mar visitor’s experience
Thursday, April 1, 1999 | 11:43 a.m.
Maybe the situation is inviting to other people, but for me it was less than positive, considering so many couples, children and the elderly hardly escape these peddlers of everything sexual except having a physical relationship with a parakeet.
How can millions of dollars be spent to construct a so-called paradise for the tourists when you can't even walk on the street comfortably and become prey for these people?
Perhaps it's time for the citizens of this community to make a conscientious effort to help alleviate this situation. As for me, it is a harbinger of bad taste for all concerned. Surely the tourists to your city deserve better.
