Two fitness programs for seniors are being offered at the Sunrise Doctors Pavilion, 3131 La Canada Ave., Suite 107.
A gym fitness program will be offered noon-1 p.m. Tuesdays April 13 through 27. The pool fitness program will be noon-1 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays April 8 through 30.
The class fee is $2 per session. A doctor's release for participation is required. Call 735-5510.
Solve billing questions, get pressure checked
The Las Vegas chapter of the National Association of Senior Friends is sponsoring the following health-related events at the Sunrise Senior Friends office, 3101 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite 314:
Free medical assistance on explaining physicians' and hospital statements, Monday and April 19, 9-11:30 a.m.
Free blood pressure screenings, Tuesday and April 13, 20 and 27, 1:30-2:30 p.m.
Also, free Medicare assistance is being offered 9-11:30 a.m. Monday and April 19. One-on-one advice from a trained volunteer is available free. Call 735-5510.
Sun City seniors to get variety of tests
Senior Advantage Resource Center, 9310 Sun City Blvd., Suite 101, and in the Desert Springs Hospital Medical Center, 2075 E. Flamingo Road, offers osteoporosis screening, skin cancer screenings, blood sugar tests, seminars on travel and bereavement support.
Call the Sun City office at 363-1150 and the Desert Springs office at 369-7911 for dates and times.
