Velna J. Custer, 64, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for 29 years, she was born Jan. 2, 1934, in Lincoln, Neb.
She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn J. Custer and Colleen J. Custer, both of Las Vegas; and one sister, Clarice Moxley of San Jose, Calif.
A celebration of life will be 5 p.m. today until 3 a.m. Tuesday and 5 p.m. Tuesday until 3 a.m. Wednesday in the Rio hotel-casino. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Salvation Army Food Bank, P.O. Box 28369, Las Vegas, NV 89126.
JUAN PEDRO RODRIGUEZ DIAZ
Juan Pedro Rodriguez Diaz, 68, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 1, 1930, in Mexico. A resident for 1 1/2 years, he was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his mother, Florinda Rodriguez of Montebello, Calif.
Burial will be in California. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
EVELYN GREENBERG
Evelyn Greenberg, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 20, 1923, in New York. A resident for many years, she was a bookkeeper.
She is survived by her husband, Benjamin; one son, Mark Greenberg of California; one daughter, Bobbie Aguiar of Oregon; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Los Angeles. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
ANNA MAE GRIMES
Anna Mae Grimes, 84, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. She was born July 23, 1914, in Temple, Texas. A resident for 58 years, she was a retired cosmetician.
She is survived by one son, Frank Thielke, and one daughter, Jennifer Thielke, both of Las Vegas; one brother, Lowell Wiggins of Los Angeles; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
ROBERT LEWIS NELSON
Robert Lewis Nelson, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 18, 1919, in Twin Falls, Idaho. A resident for 46 years, he was a printing contractor and a World War II Merchant Marine.
He is survived by his wife, Ella Mae; three daughters, Jennifer Barnhurst, Chris Drew and Ann Beatty, and two sons, Jeff Nelson and Chick Nelson, all of Las Vegas; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Wednesday in the LDS 2nd Ward Relief Room. Graveside services will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
The family suggests donations to Child Haven, 3444 E. Bonanza Road, Las Vegas, NV 89101.
RONALD LEE URBAN
Ronald Lee Urban, 46, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born May 6, 1952, in Detroit. A resident for 25 years, he was a hotel chef.
He is survived by his wife, Betsy; two sons, Jon C. Urban and Aaron Urban, and three stepsons, Shayne Coley, Gabriel Coley and Joshua Coley, all of Las Vegas; his father, Edward Urban, his mother, Christine Francis, and one brother, Edward Urban Jr., all of Michigan; and two sisters, Barbara Raxter of Michigan and Deborah Washnak of California.
Visitation was scheduled 10 a.m.-3 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. A memorial service was scheduled at 4 p.m. today in Kingdom Hall, 4051 N. Cimarron Road. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
LEROY CHRIS WYETT
Leroy Chris Wyett, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 11, 1933, in Milford, Neb. A resident for five years, he was a retired government quality assurance chief and Korean War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Doris; one son, Steven Wyatt of Merced, Calif.; one daughter, Pamela Matteson of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, Jim Wyett of Goodyear, Ariz., and John Wyett of Craswell, Mich.; one sister, Juanita Buresh of Alliance, Neb.; and three grandchildren.
Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
