Hydroplanes on display tonight at Sunset Station
Thursday, Sept. 24, 1998 | 10:24 a.m.
Tim and Mike Seebold, currently one-two in Formula One powerboat points heading into this weekend's Las Vegas Cup on Lake Mead, will be among the drivers who will be part of the Las Vegas Cup FanFest tonight at the Sunset Station hotel-casino.
Driving identical Bud Light powerboats, Tim has a 14-point lead over his older brother Mike, who won last year's Formula One race on Lake Mead, entering the season finale of the 1998 Las Vegas Formula One P.R.O.P. Tour.
Their boats will be on display along with several other entries, including the powerful unlimited hydroplanes, during the Las Vegas Cup FanFest from 6:30-10 p.m. at the Sunset Station amphitheater.
Appearing in a free concert tonight as part of FanFest will be the Canadian rock group, Loverboy, along with the Leizure Lizards of Las Vegas.
