Miller to promote non-stop flights between Mexico and Las Vegas
Friday, Sept. 11, 1998 | 9:08 a.m.
Miller is hoping chartered flights to Las Vegas from Monterrey, Mexico City, Leon and Guadalajara will help boost the visitor count here. The governor will meet with airline officials at the Luxor hotel-casino.
Mexico was the seventh largest international market for Las Vegas in 1997 with 104,000 airline passengers.
Last month, Miller and a small delegation of hotel and travel industry representatives took a weeklong tourism promotion trip to Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Ecuador.
