Letter: Comedians should find new target
Saturday, Oct. 31, 1998 | 4:31 a.m.
Our old comedians had good, brilliant things to say, but now everyone thinks our president is the only one to put up to ridicule in their openings. Quit persecuting.
Clinton has done many good things for our country. Can't they take his apology and forget it? If you have no sins, then and only then should you ridicule and degrade our president. What he did was not right, but haven't we had enough of this? One day this will come back to haunt them.
One more thing I wish to bring to you -- we have no sidewalks from the wash on Swenson Street up to Flamingo Road on either side of the roadway and I started calling about this in 1988. I'm still waiting and wanting to know why we can't have a sidewalk there.
There is a bus stop on the east side -- all dirt, gravel, etc. No handicapped person can ride a wheelchair up to the bus stop there or up to Flamingo -- it's against the law to drive these on the street.
