Friday, Oct. 30, 1998 | 2:55 a.m.

In an opinion requested by Storey County District Attorney Janet Hess, the state attorney general's office said additional forms of identification listing an address are needed when a vote is challenged.

Charles Porchia, a candidate for Storey County Sheriff and a reserve deputy commander, filed formal challenges to 195 voters listed on county rolls with residence addresses that matched those of the Mustang brothels.

"This is the first time in 30 years that the brothels have been stopped from using illegal residences to vote," he said.
