UNLV got off to a fast start in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Region VII championships on its home courts Thursday.

The Rebels' Danny Erez, Tyler Roberts, Damu Bobb and Gregor Skorin won singles matches while Erez-Roberts won a doubles match.

The tournament runs through Sunday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex on the UNLV campus.

In other UNLV sports news:

-- UC-Irvine defeated the Rebels 15-10, 14-16, 15-10, 15-10 in a non-conference volleyball match at Irvine, Calif. Jeanette Graves led UNLV (16-6) with 25 kills.

-- New Mexico edged the UNLV women's soccer team 3-2 in overtime in Albuquerque. Felicia Madrigal and Janae Sims scored for the Rebels, who slipped to 8-9-1 and 1-5-1 in the WAC.
