Letter: President should be forgiven
Wednesday, Oct. 28, 1998 | 11:49 a.m.
None of us want to work in government or get elected to a high office if we are going to be treated like this. Our president and his family have really been treated badly.
Every day the papers and television have nothing good to say about our president. We're taught in school that the office of president is a great office and one to be respected. They're making us lose respect for the office. Adults or grown-ups are our examples or role models.
Every Sunday they teach us in church to forgive. We should practice this outside of the church. Do we really mean this? Let's forgive are president for the wrong that he has done and let's talk about some of the good things that he has done.
