Letter: Teen’s family saying thanks

Also, we want to thank all the people involved in trying to get through to the heartless and uncaring prison system's heads.

Our special thanks for the wonderful memorial service at Desert Hills Baptist Church. The attendance by so many people whose lives Samantha touched was a tribute to her having lived.

Our heartfelt thanks to Stacy J. Willis for her kind reporting of our plight and cable channel Las Vegas 1 for its tasteful coverage.

It has come to my attention that other prisoners were allowed special privileges in much the same situation as my son, Wayne Porretti, faced. If this is true and their classification was the same or worse than Wayne's, there are questions the prison system will have to answer.
